Hiking Stiletto Park part 4. I noticed this when I sat in a rock to take a breather-- a completely new plant to me, this is Pipsissewa (Chimaphila umbellata). it's apparently a myco-heterotroph, which means it gets a significant part of its nutrients from fungi in the soil. But apparently it only grows in established mature forests and resents disturbed soil so probably not a good candidate for a garden setting.
