An interesting theory, but Pokemon cards are, essentially, a collectible. That market is very tough because the majority of the items end up worthless. I remember TV ad (back when I watched regular TV) for all sorts of things that were supposed to be valuable some day…civil war plate sets, silly physical coins, beanie babies. Guess how much they are all worth 30 years later? Essentially nothing, certainly not what the people paid for them. Can you strike it rich in collectibles? Sure. But it’s a bit of a crap shoot as to what people will want a few decades from now.
