I'll note that according to the deliberately broad definition of genocide used (for good reason) by the UN, you could definitely call Hamas violence genocidal, especially since so much of it is a matter of proving intent. It is of less concern only because Hamas capacity to inflict violence is relatively low.

Whereas according to the colloquial definition of "systematic extermination," Israel's violence is not genocidal either. We have to pick a definition and stick with it.
