It’s also that I have difficulty communicating symptoms to doctors and get ignored or sent home without treatment, like when I had a mild heart attack but had undiagnosed severe blockage which required quad bypass surgery and after about 4 hrs in ER they said I had nothing & would soon be discharged; fortunately a cardiologist who was being called about this said “no” and had me admitted. He most likely saved my life.

With more info, the complaints become more credible plus the risk of malpractice goes down. Undiagnosed and asymptomatic was my medical history 25 years ago. Now, I have such a long history and medications list people actually pay a lot of attention. I’m lucky. Others in the same shoes often die unexpectedly
