Last night wifey was chatting with one of the regulars at the dance club she DJs at (wifey DJs)... the regular asked me if I also DJ. I paused and thought about it and confidently said I would be a terrible DJ.
Mostly because being a good DJ is (apparently) about reading the room and keeping the dance floor going.
Apparently normal people wanna dance to _familiar_ songs that they've heard a bjillion times?
I would play so much random shit that it would kill the dance floor for just about everyone who wasn't just an “I'll dance to anything" person.
