Technically, all deterministic Bitcoin wallets start with seeds. BitKey seeds are created on three separate pieces of hardware (BitKey device, the phone app's host device, and AWS Nitro). There are no seed phrases -- recovery is achieved through contacts that you can set up and encrypted emergency backup files.
