unions are best in the private sector when they help workers bargain against bosses. I can agree with lots of your complaints about unions going beyond this role (or how things get distorted with unions in the public sector). markets ceasing to work well. but businesses get involved beyond just providing a service/product too. and what you say about people being taught they're entitled to a job, there's a ton of false propaganda about how markets will solve everything too.
