Periodic reminder about utility devices that connect to cloud. If the cloud service is having hiccups, you lose the ability to control the device. This is not the future I envisioned.
Cloud must be a value add-on, not mandatory. All devices must be mandated to operate locally without internet, this is why we need stricter government regulation but nobody in the government really cares about these things :|
