Thanks to a more reasonable reading by npub18h0x6cgsnuvcvpverz4c4vsntgpx83nuhrv827h27854mqhullpqxhcrws (npub18h0…crws) , it seems I was mistaken. They don't actually hike the safety limit, they just reduced the nylon load temp to 280C instead of 285.
In this regard, I'm glad that they're going to fix this problem, but this took them close to _four months_! The fix is trivial, and could have been done as a hotfix release, but no, it's the Mini, who cares if it disagrees with its product page, Prusa's own docs _and_ its other features...
