And having re-read the toot...we are *definitely* talking about the same writer, and they are absolutely NOT fascist or fake-progressive.

Read their work closely. They come from a journalism/business background and aim towards self-help (like you, but w/ a very different resume), which involves certain assumptions that might come off as fashy in someone with a tech background. This is exactly why I'm making this point, painting that writer is fascist is a huge false positive.
