Another fun thing is that languages may be hell bent on defining the gender of the person we're talking about, but all the rules go out the window if we're talking about two or more persons. Then it becomes a mess of a male group, female group or mixed group that for some reason uses the same word as male group.

And someone with gender neutral language is just left scratching their head.

And then I learned how some languages also have 3rd gender for neutral things but masculine and feminine is still used for things that obviously have no concept of gender.
