what Chainanal DID do, is pick a tx for which they had mostly eliminated the decoys already. "with heuristics" is the only elaboration.

iow, they cant do any elimination of the decoys in ringsigs *unless they have off chain data to correlate them with.
NOT because you happened to connect to a malicious node.
