Hiking Mt Adams part 9. This is about as far up as I went and yes it's a steep as it looks. I went up the snowfield a little way and saw this huge boulder dislodge from the slope and come rolling down. It's in the center of the second photo; it was the size of a washing machine. This is why climbers always summit at 3 AM, well before the heat of the day melts the ice and causes events like this. End of thread.
