I use magic loop when necessary but I don’t like it (because of laddering) so I avoid it unless there really is no other solution.
Like this sleeve, I cast it on and knit first 3-4 rounds on magic loop, as I find it impossible to do that on the 9 inches, too tight.
But as soon as I could I moved over to them and retired the loop haha.
