there's a lot of misunderstanding of how the ATprotocol network works

if you run a PDS, which is all most outside instances are doing, then you are actually at bsky PBC's mercy. they can nuke you even if you are on a different PDS altogether

the only way to have *complete* independence is to run your own PDS *and* relay *and* appview, which is much more work and expertise than a PDS alone

Blacksky apparently only runs their own PDS, not a relay or appview
