I just remembered a time we went to Del Taco at 3:30 AM with a few friends that usually worked graveyard shift and ordered $40 worth of food. It took them 25 minutes to bring it out to us and 4 of us couldn't eat it all. I had *leftovers* for a couple of days off that one purchase.
Times were wild, friends. $40 now would be 6 tacos, 3 drinks, and a chicken quesadilla.
Fast food got a foothold by being cheap, now it's a *net* drain on society in all respects.
