In my experience there is no single group of “degrowthers.” Some of them are just anti-capitalist, others are effectively eco-fascists.

But I think a lot of people just don’t have any understanding of how much energy we use or how much we actually need for things like healthcare, running public mass transportation, or water and sewage treatment.
