I think one of the deepest lines in cinema is when Bane said "Peace has cost you your strength. Victory has defeated you." Reminds me of how important it is to always be working/striving toward something. If you aren't growing because you are comfortable, then you are declining. Getting weaker. Sadly, this reminds me of the United States.
Then Bane says "I was wondering what would break first: your spirit or your body." What do you think will break first for Americans?
