I long had this notion of "this notebook is perfect, so to use it I must be perfect". I solved i by buying the cheapest usable notebook I could find and now I feel good enough to buy and use nicer notebooks. I still make misstakes ofc but I don't find it as detrimental.

I'm not familiar enough with hobonichi to know if there is a ultra cheap beginners version of it though.
