I don't wanna be a debbie downer or whatever, but I definitely don't see that happening. McCarthyism pretty much wiped out all traces of the American left wing and it's only been the last two or three decades that it's built back up to the point that it's barely noticeable, and people holding leftist values are derided as "extreme." Maybe there'd have been a chance if it'd had another two or three decades of Clintons, Obamas, and Bidens, but I don't see it as it stands.
