A lifetime ago, I worked tech support for a shitty, buggy program. Greetings and Closings were scripted, as well as about 75% of answers to known issues.
We were required to be overflowing with joy at the program, with consequences if you slipped up.
Underpaid, high stress with a real possibility of contracting a neurosis from being on the phone with nasty customers for 8 hours a day.
Now I'm getting deja vu just living in this country.
