the desktop background needs to be a seamless pattern to fit a variety of window sizes and screen resolutions. It also has to look good when scrolling. With that being said, the options are more limiting. Sure, I could put an awesome picture for the background but it may not look good or be a good fit for all users. With that being said, I’m always brainstorming about how to further improve the visual experience here
