That's a short blog post, I was worried.

The idea of one's nature overcoming one's nurture or vice-versa makes sense to me, but what is there to overcome both? The idea that there is some kind of third direction between nature, nurture, randomness, and determinism in which our free will resides is absurd and jaded to me.

To be honest, I belive I understand the difference between fulfilment and pleasure, but the word "enjoy" seems like a bad choice. To be honest, the word "comfort" probably isn't a good word either. Isn't a comfort supposed to be comforting? I prefer a word like "amenity" for something that improves our potential but which may be unpleasant to make use of.
