I wrote a blog post a while back on a similar topic, how I see pleasure as distinct from enjoyment. I like to think of "enjoy" as to en-joy. The simple pleasures and comforts we hedonically adapt to rob us of joy. Joy is found in growth and triumph in the midst of strife.
