Somebody is FINALLY trying to use LN to obfuscate the trail of funds (fucking 8 years later 🙄) and now this asshole has to publicly masturbate about it.
quoting> it's not a privacy concern

This is so emblematic of monero privacy larping. Leaking fee data? "Lol," say monero people, "who cares that we leak fee data? Who cares that Chainalysis collects that data from the blockchain, analyzes it, fingerprints it, and cites it in their reports that get people arrested? It's the user's fault for using a fingerprintable wallet that we recommended. We won't fix it even though LN proves it's fixable. Because we don't care."
Same with how much the recipient receives. "Lol," say monero people, "who cares that the recipient learns how the recipients split the money up? Who cares that it might be a significant business secret? Who cares that it exposes info about organizational structure and private salary contracts? The merchant should just take custody of that money and split it up later, paying for yet more unnecessary L1 txs just because we wouldn't fix this clearly fixable privacy flaw that LN already fixed."
It's why no one takes monero seriously as a privacy tool. No wonder the Blink thief is using lightning. LN devs actually care about protecting sensitive data. Monero people just laugh and shill their permanent, transparent ledger as if it was a decent privacy tool.
