As an autistic person, I am deeply critical of this train of thought. Insistence that empathy is mandatory is ableist, imho.

While you may wax poetic about taking long walks, and how wonderful it is to have legs, to stretch them, breathe fresh air, you are silently marginalizing a minority of people who are physically challenged, and can't go walking if they wanted to.

You sound like a schoolmaster exhorting students on a hike, extolling the virtues of exercise.
