Rain has been the theme in this region for the past two years. My running joke has been to keep track of how many consecutive backpacking trips I have gone on and gotten rained on (lots!).
The rain continued all last winter-- we were one snowfall away from a great base last December, then many days of rain wiped it out. I timed my snowshoeing trips to being well after a rain and shortly after a good snowfall. Others were much more courageous than I, snowshoeing more frequently,.
