One thing we have gotten into in recent years is instead of trimming everything, I'll just pick some of the nice top colas to trim up. The rest gets hung as-is, just chop the entire plant at the base and let it dry. Then process into ice hash or extracts; you can do almost a whole plant at once and get an oz or so of really high quality full melt hash with basically zero prep. Just crumble the buds into the bucket and process.
