Hmm, while pulling 4K HEVC rips directly off the server for playback works fine (eg in Infuse), the transcoding pipeline for Jellyfin in the browser seems to slow things down
playback info reports a transcode speed of a mere 15fps on 24fps 4K Ultra HD movies and shows; it plays for a few seconds then pauses briefly before continuing ;_;
tone mapping on/off doesn't make a diff to performance, nor does h.264 vs hevc
doesn't seem to be overloading the cpu or network
