I keep hearing people say nostr is dead, yet every time I load an app there's more new content than I can keep up with.

I reckon that metric could be quite accurate, if it's along the lines of "has posted, zapped or reacted in the last x minutes" - on Amethyst it shows you the last time someone was active, as accurately as it can do. It wouldn't take much to add the same metric across apps, but I'm willing to bet the outputs would be wildly different just because if the unreliable way queries are returned and parsed.
