Gigi (nprofile…s2s2) no reason to be bearish. To the contrary. Adoption won’t come from masses waking up overnight — it comes in waves. Critical thinkers are almost exhausted, but Wall Street’s smart money will come next, not for freedom but for profit. Ironically, that will pump bitcoin’s store-of-value role, pulling the masses behind them. And when the masses hold "paper" #bitcoin as a SOV long enough, some will learn self-custody and spend it too. Real medium-of-exchange use will follow — decades later maybe, but that’s how incentives work. That's all in my #bitcoindollar book. We should focus on (i) developing and adopting at protocol level bitcoin privacy features which is key to keep it uncensorable, decetralized and to restrain wall street (ii) hold your own keys (iii) run your own node. Incentives will do the rest.
