Went to Tesco yesterday to buy, among other things, some paprika. There were two choices. I could either pay £1.10 for 100g or £1.35 for 125g.
Neither paprika nor 25p is that important, but I stood there for a shamefully long time trying to work out what was the "better deal".
I think it's a con. They want you to expend so much brain power working out these inconsequential things that you'll turn around and buy an overpriced expensive thing without thinking.
