"content": "I'm a little fed up with the Steam client being an archaic nightmare. :blobfoxthinkgoogly: Fedora should absolutely keep building 32-bit packages into the foreseeable future, but Valve really needs to make Steam 64-bit. For all the good they do with Proton and DXVK, their proprietary software is a total dumpsterfire on Linux. It's wild to me that Steam is still 32-bit, especially when they're willing to make specific ARM builds for macOS (which has less than half the user-share that Steam for Linux has, mind you). It's 2025, modern software should not be 32-bit. \n\nIt goes hand in hand with the fact that Steam still doesn't have Wayland support outside of their own compositor :corgi_wtf1: SDL and WINE are making huge inroads into supporting Wayland so it's something they're going to have to get their shit together on sooner rather than later. Fedora should absolutely keep building 32-bit packages into the foreseeable future, but Valve really needs to make Steam 64-bit.
