The scanner plugs in where the ribbon cartridge goes. The lid needs to be off because there’s a cable coming out of the scanner which means the lid open detector needs to be defeated. A small magnet in blue tape does the trick.

Software side: Fairly easy to get the software, a single app. It doesn’t seem to like running on 7.5.3 but does OK on 6.0.8 (which is good news for the Lisa!)
