I didn’t mean to imply that the US was a better system, only that its machinations and motivations seem to be better known. For example, where I live in Canada, few people understand how healthcare works. When I was developing a new healthcare tech years ago, I was amazed how many of my fellow Canadians thought healthcare was free and accessible to all.
