I know many/most of you are looking forward to the solstice tomorrow and the slow return of longer days and shorter nights.

I love the rhythms of the solstices and equinoxes when the sun stands still before turning toward the equal night and day / day and night.

But even more - I love the long dark nights, the peaceful stillness, the soft light of bright moon and stars. It's with sadness that I say goodbye - again - to the holly king and greet the return of the oak king.
