people used photoshop to make deepfakes way before, should we discard all tech that has potential for misuse? perhaps programming languages that produce viruses? If anything, the problem seems to be that now almost anyone can do what earlier only the elite could. Anyone can sound like they went to a b-school or did a PhD anyone can generate dreams and plans that go no where, where earlier you needed to be a certain amount of rich/privileged.
