32 came from a research study of national supreme courts in the world. The last time the number of justices was changed was in the 1800s - they **reduced** the number.

I agree the constitution should be challenging to change, but because of involvement. In the current system it is artificial hurdles, and they favour politicians. Perhaps instead it might be similar to Switzerland, where constitutional changes must be approved by national plebiscite.
