I make a slit down the middle of one side of the bag, work the soil over the branch (I girdle the branch and use rooting hormone), fold the bag over the branch snugly, and tape with electrical tape to secure it. I also put something like aluminum foil or an old mailing envelope over it to keep the sun from baking it. Works a treat on peach, fig, and blueberry plants.
