- yeah, I'm not a fan of the iCloud lock in, with subscription rates rising as soon as you get to even moderate data sizes, and maybe I'm just being oblivious and missing something, but the Files app on iOS, unlike any other OS I've ever dealt with, doesn't actually show me many files at all - I want to be able to see exactly what and where, and choose what I want to backup to my own local drives and NextCloud instances. And Apple makes that harder to do than it should be, imho
