I commented further up but there are a lot of companies making metal free inks and stuff these days. I got my first ink at 19. It was in honor of my eldest kiddo. I got my second in honor of the second kiddo. I got my third in memory of an old friend that walked me through a lot of struggle when I was young. I got my 4th to remember a family vacation with my parents and siblings and to remind me of who I am when I question things. I have a 5th planned for the youngest kiddo but haven't gotten around to the actual application of it yet. I will probably get more before I croak. I'm 45 now. I don't regret any of them. They are all as important to me as the day I got them. I also try to get them in places I can cover if I need to.
