When we first got it in 1996 there was an amazing page for the anime Bubblegum Crisis that went into details about how weapons were sourced in obscure ways (like paying Vietnam for US 105mm fléchette shells for railgun ammunition) and, basically, Batman Begins techniques of hiding it in plain sight as "failed prototypes" on the ledger.
Another was for the Irish band Clannad and at the time it was better their official page. Beautiful web design, even today, in static HTML.
