as far as fsf is concerned all redhatware is halal because it's gpld, that's the issue. gpl does its job admirably for the most part but things I mentioned - code quality, digital supply chains, defending from corpos - are largely considered out of scope for fsf. now, if there's nothing else in the larger free software movement addressing these, you can't really blame the wolf for doing wolf things and exploiting them for gain, it's on (You).
taming the wolf is left as an exercise for the reader
