Their post makes bad assumptions about Google's roadmap based on their interpretation of how the bug triage was handled by someone who directly communicates they aren't one of the developers. The issue was also closed as obsolete rather than won't implement. It was marked as no longer being relevant because they have a different plan to expanding DoH compatibility. That public Android issue tracker is a way to take in user feedback. The developers work on private issues, not those ones.
