I agree with this aspect of it, but people so frequently go after the low hanging fruit aspect of it. It's amazing how many people focus on fat-shaming rather than shaming the willful use of poorly applying a cheap bronzer too frequently for example.
But, that said, it's a wholly separate thing usually anyway. Like, if they're attacking peoples' appearances, that's a good time to point this stuff out, but if they're attacking peoples' existences, that's not a good time to point it out. In the latter case, it shouldn't even be mentioned because what matters is the person themselves being bad rather than that they choose to present themselves as some sort of really badly faked image of the false visual ideals they enshrine.
