A while back I ran i3 on Debian. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. The only problem I really had was I didn't like how i3's UI looked when a graphical browser was being used. It wasn't anything with i3 or my config, it was more of an itch in my brain that you get when you mix two things that don't belong together. Like putting tomatoes into your icecream or something. Hard to describe and absolutely a "me" thing, not something with i3 or the browser.
