I am currently playing the role of "ma ma bird" 👀 - That is to say, I am caring for a baby bird.

My niece is moving into her 1st apparent, and on the back porch was, unfortunately, the bad sight of a dead baby bird, which was being eaten by ants. Some distance away from this was another baby bird, flipped on it's back, flopping around, and unable to roll back over.

We wanted to return the bird back into the bird nest, which looked like it has been partly destroyed. While that itself is not a good sign, it appeared at least one bird kept trying to repair the nest, only for the wind to blow more bits of it down. Lastly, we could not safely reach the bird nest, even if we tried (and we did try).

Every 20 minutes now, I have been feeding a baby bird wet cat food (Fancy Feast). Currently using the beef and chicken flavor (it is what I had).
