How many people in the world even know that there are forks of BTC? I'd bet less than 1%. Good luck getting them to standardize on it.
It's your money, throw it where you like. But betting the farm on any crypto, yet alone an alt coin is quite a spec bet.
My point behind it being the problem is that there isn't anything that BCH can do that any other crypto can't do. The barrier to entry on making new cryptos is way to low therefore, it's going to be tough to sell people on the value of any given one. If anyone can make one, it's not that valuable.
