that’s a narrow definition. If you don’t have enough money to buy the machine that will provide the core of your business then you can sell shares to raise the capital to buy the machine.
Nothing to do with labour.

So eg. if you wish to make pots, you will need a potters wheel and a kiln. That will set you back £3000 - £5000
One way to fund it would be to sell six shares each for £500 to fund the purchase.
Or take out a loan.
Both are capitalism.
