Got the posts stood up. I had to wait for a long block of uninterrupted time: this step isn’t something I wanted to do incrementally. The first few posts are very unstable, even with the temporary diagonal bracing, but the whole thing gets more and more stable as each post goes up and gets braced to its neighbors. Then, I went around and tweaked each post until was as close to plumb as possible. The temporary bracing will hold everything sturdy until the real framing goes up.
